Soave Superiore Docg Monte Calvarina “Runcata” 2023

Runcata is a single-vineyard Soave Superiore DOCG produced by the Dal Cero family from Garganega grapes grown on the volcanic basalt soils of Monte Calvarina, one of the highest and most distinct hills in the Soave zone. The vineyard sits at elevation, giving the wine natural acidity and a pronounced mineral character that sets it apart from lower-lying Soave. Fermentation and ageing take place in a combination of stainless steel and large neutral wood, preserving the primary fruit and terroir expression. The wine shows the structural depth and complexity that qualifies it for the Soave Superiore designation, which requires stricter yields and higher minimum alcohol than standard Soave DOC.
