About Dal Cero Family
The Dal Cero family has farmed in the Veronese since 1934, when grandfather Augusto set the house's course of respect for the land and patient judgement of its potential. Today the third generation, Davide, Nico and Francesca, signs the labels, working estates that reach from Soave and Roncà into the eastern Valpolicella, where the family's red wine project sits on a natural terrace looking toward Verona. The vineyards there grow Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara on the traditional pergola veronese, across soils that mix white limestone with black volcanic ground.
Prices are for take away and shipping. The wine bar serves from its own list.

About Dal Cero Family

History
The Dal Cero family has made wine since 1934, when Augusto Dal Cero started the business. His principle was respect for tradition, and his sons Dario and Giuseppe carried it on. The third generation has since put more weight on showing the character of each place. The company is now owned by Nico, Davide and Francesca Dal Cero.
The land and the vineyards
The family works three estates. Tenuta Corte Giacobbe is at Roncà, in the Soave area, and sits in the middle of an extinct volcano. The second is a winery in Valpolicella that carries the family name. The third is Tenuta Montecchiesi in Tuscany, near Cortona. In all there are about 40 hectares of vines, which give around 160,000 bottles a year.
The wines
Each estate has its own line. From Corte Giacobbe come volcanic Soave wines, among them Runcata, a Soave Superiore DOCG, as well as a sparkling wine called Cuvée Augusto. Valpolicella is represented by the family's wines from the Verona hills, and Montecchiesi makes Tuscan reds, including a Syrah named Klanis from Cortona. A line of crus carries the founder's name and is farmed without chemicals, following biodynamic inspired ideas, with little intervention in the cellar.
Today
The winery at Roncà receives visitors by reservation for tastings and direct sales. The family also sells olive oil.
