About Prà Graziano
Graziano Prà is a family-owned winery based in Monteforte d'Alpone in the Soave Classico zone of the Veneto, Italy. The estate is led by Graziano Prà and is particularly known for producing high-quality Soave Classico wines from old Garganega vines grown on volcanic basalt soils. The winery also produces Valpolicella and Amarone, and is regarded as one of the leading estates in the revival of Soave as a serious wine appellation.
Prices are for take away and shipping. The wine bar serves from its own list.

About Prà Graziano

History
Graziano Prà grew up among vines. His grandfather and father worked the family vineyards, and he trained as an oenologist before building his own estate. The turning point came in the 1980s, when the company f.lli Prà took shape, run at first by Graziano and his brother, who looked after the vineyard work. The first Soave Otto was made in 1983, and in 1988 the Monte Grande cru was launched to promote the family's own vineyard. The current winery was built in 1990. In 2000 the Soave Classico Monte Grande won a Tre Bicchieri award, the first important recognition.
Graziano bought the La Morandina vineyards in the wider Valpolicella area in 2001, farmed organically from the start, and the first Amarone was made in 2006. In 2007 he bought out his brother Sergio and became the sole owner. In 2016 the company acquired Tenuta Monte Bisson, a hill about two kilometres from the medieval town of Soave with a Venetian tower from the 1400s, and an agriturismo opened there in 2022.
The land and the vineyards
The estate has forty hectares of vines on the Soave hills, on soil of volcanic origin, and eight hectares of flaky limestone soil in the Valpolicella hills. The Valpolicella site is a cold one, touched by currents coming down from the Lessini Mountains. Graziano works only with native grapes: Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave in the Soave area, and Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Oseleta in Valpolicella. Monte Grande, the company cru, and Monte Bisson lie in Soave, and La Morandina lies in Valpolicella.
The wines
Soave is the heart of the range, from Soave Otto to the single vineyard Monte Grande and Monte Bisson wines, and the family cares about how long its Soave can live in the bottle. From Valpolicella come Amarone and other reds. All the wines are closed with a technical screw cap, a choice the family reached after long thought about that very question.
Today
Graziano Prà still leads the company from Monteforte d'Alpone, in the Soave Classico zone. In 2018 Wine Spectator placed Soave Otto in its selection of top Italian producers. Guests can stay at Agriturismo Monte Bisson, which opened in 2022.
