Soave Classico Doc “I Palchi – Foscarino” 2022

Inama I Palchi Foscarino Grande Cuvee is made from 100% old-vine Garganega grown on steep, terraced slopes of Monte Foscarino, an inactive volcano in the Soave Classico zone. The wine was first produced in 2019 and draws exclusively from micro-parcels selected across the Foscarino hillside for superior aromatic complexity and intensity. Winemaking involves around eight hours of skin maceration before free-run juice is fermented and aged in a combination of barriques, large casks, and stainless steel, with periodic lees stirring to build texture. The basalt and volcanic soils of Foscarino give the wine its signature saline, ashy mineral character, setting it apart from lighter, more straightforward expressions of Garganega. Annual production is small, typically around 6,000 bottles. The 2022 vintage shows the concentration and structural definition typical of this site, with good cellaring potential through the mid-2030s.
