“Ter Lignum” Triple Wood Cask Aged
Wine Description
Ter Lignum is a cask-aged liqueur produced by Forst, a well-known brewery and beverage producer based in South Tyrol, northern Italy. The name ‘Ter Lignum’ references wood (lignum in Latin), reflecting the triple wood cask aging process that defines the product. Aging in three different types of wood casks imparts layers of complexity, including vanilla, spice, and dried fruit character. As a liqueur rather than a wine or spirit in the traditional sense, it falls outside standard wine classification categories. The triple-wood maturation process is intended to add depth and smoothness to the final product. Serve at room temperature or slightly chilled as a digestif.
