About Giovanni Dindo
Giovanni Dindo established his family winery in the 1960s in the hills of Fumane, and three generations later it remains a small, hands on estate of about five hectares on Monte Sant'Urbano, in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica. Every stage, from the rows to the drying loft to the cellar, is watched over by the family itself. The range stays deliberately short, Valpolicella Ripasso and Amarone above all, made the traditional Fumane way with long, cool macerations and patient aging in a mix of French tonneaux and large oak casks.
Prices are for take away and shipping. The wine bar serves from its own list.

About Giovanni Dindo

History
Giovanni Dindo is a small family farm in Fumane, in the Valpolicella Classica zone a few kilometres from Verona. The listing that describes it places the start in the 1960s and says the estate has passed through three generations of the same family. The old cellar still has its original stone walls.
The land and the vineyards
The vines stand on Monte Sant'Urbano, with a view over the town of Fumane and the valley below. The estate farms about five hectares. The soils are clay and limestone, which the producer links to structured wines that can age.
The wines
The range follows the classic Valpolicella ladder: Valpolicella Classico, Valpolicella Classico Superiore, Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore and Amarone della Valpolicella Classico. Visitors describe reds with strong character that are ready to drink and made to sit at the table beside food.
Today
The family receives visitors for tastings in the cellar, with Giovanni Dindo's wife Sara handling the visits.
