Timorasso
Wine Description
Braida Timorasso is the first white wine produced by the Bologna family at their Rocchetta Tanaro cellar in Piedmont. The wine is made from the Timorasso grape, an ancient white variety native to the Colli Tortonesi hills of southeastern Piedmont, known for its pronounced minerality, high acidity, and capacity to develop with bottle age. It is vinified in stainless steel and then aged in concrete vessels in contact with fine lees, retaining tension, depth, and aromatic complexity. The first release was the 2023 vintage, with subsequent vintages in production. Timorasso produces structured, age-worthy whites that share similarities with the Barbera wines for which Braida is historically known, particularly in terms of structure and depth.
