Metodo Classico Blanc de Noirs “Tre” Extra Brut
Wine Description
Met Classico Tre is a Blanc de Noirs Metodo Classico Extra Brut produced by Marco Buvoli at his small workshop, the Opificio del Pinot Nero, located in the pre-Alpine foothills north of Vicenza, in the Veneto region. It is made from 100% Pinot Nero from grapes grown on the Colli Berici and Colli Euganei, using a cuvée that incorporates reserve wines from multiple harvests, with a portion vinified using a Solera method. The base wine is aged on fine lees in a combination of large untoasted wood, French oak barriques and tonneaux, and stainless steel. After secondary fermentation in bottle, the wine rests on its lees for 36 months before disgorgement, resulting in a non-vintage sparkling wine of noticeable freshness, minerality, and structure. Production is limited to approximately 4,000 bottles and the estate follows a biodynamic approach.
