Soave DOC Classico “Staforte” 2024
Wine Description
Prà Staforte is a 100% Garganega white wine from the Soave Classico zone, produced by Graziano Prà at his estate in Monteforte d’Alpone in the Veneto. The name Staforte refers to the medieval name for Monteforte, the village at the heart of the estate. Grapes are selected from the best hillside plots, including Froscà, Foscarino, Ponsara, and Val dell’Acqua, all grown on volcanic basaltic soils that give the wine its characteristic mineral tension. After fermentation, the wine ages on its lees in stainless steel tanks with regular battonage for a minimum of six months, followed by at least twelve months of bottle ageing before release. The wine is produced under organic farming practices. It is dry, medium-bodied, and noted for its balance of fruit clarity, natural acidity, and volcanic minerality.
