About Tenuta Fratini
Tenuta Fratini is an Italian estate producing wines under its own label, with bottlings including 'Harte,' 'Hortense,' and 'Clinio.' The producer releases wines across multiple vintages, suggesting an established if modestly documented operation. About Tenuta Fratini

History
Tenuta Fratini is a Bolgheri estate at Donoratico, on the Via Aurelia. Its present project began in 2016, with the aim of making red wines that reflect the character of Bolgheri. Retail listings name the brothers Corrado and Marcello Fratini as the people who restarted the family's wine production here. The company is part of the group coordinated by Fingen of Florence.
The land and the vineyards
The vineyards lie inside the Bolgheri DOC. The team chose the best soils in the area and extended its research to neighbouring Bolgheri sites to even out differences between years. It used Magnetic Resonance Sounding to study the ground, and worked out about twenty combinations of rootstock, clone and nursery for Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Grapes are picked by hand in the coolest hours of the day, with parcels on rocky soils and fresh exposures selected over the years.
The wines
Three wines carry the estate's name: Hortense, Harte and Clinio. Bolgheri Superiore appears under the Fratini label as well.
Today
The consultants are Eric Boissenot, who works with four Bordeaux first growths, the Tuscan winemaker Emiliano Falsini and the agronomist and technical director Gianni Moscardini.
