About Daniela Piccoli
Piccoli is a small family winery at Parona di Valpolicella, founded over sixty years ago by the grandparents of the current generation, built up by Daniela and Tiziano, and now run by the sisters Veronica and Alice. The vines grow on Monte La Parte, where thin calcareous and tuffaceous soils and a high position give the fruit its cut, and the cellar keeps the old ways where they matter: grape drying in the fruttaio, gravity fed vinification, patient aging in French oak. Production is small, sustainably farmed and stubbornly personal.
Prices are for take away and shipping. The wine bar serves from its own list.

About Daniela Piccoli

History
Piccoli is a family estate in Valpolicella that traces its start to 1960. Listed as Azienda Agricola Piccoli Daniela, it is based at Parona, just outside Verona, and today the winemakers are Veronica and Alice Tommasini.
The land and the vineyards
The vineyards are on Monte La Parte, in the hills above Verona. The modern winery was cut into an old quarry of tuff and limestone, and from it there are views over the vines, the garden and the city skyline.
The wines
The estate works with the local red varieties of Valpolicella: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Molinara and Oseleta. It makes still red wines, a sparkling wine and a dessert wine.
Among the labels are the Rocolo Valpolicella Superiore, Amarone della Valpolicella La Parte and the Riserva La Parte. One merchant lists the Riserva as 40 percent Corvina, 30 percent Corvinone, 20 percent Rondinella and 10 percent Oseleta.
