About Bonotto delle Tezze

History
Tenuta Bonotto delle Tezze stands at Tezze di Piave, in the municipality of Vazzola, in the province of Treviso. The estate says the Bonotto family has roots in this land going back at least to the 1400s, with wine growing as a continuous thread across about six hundred years and over twenty generations. Everything from vineyard to bottle is still followed directly by the family, with Antonio Bonotto at its head.
The land and the vineyards
The estate lies between the Trevisan Prealps and the left bank of the Piave river. Vineyards were placed where each grape does best.
The wines
Raboso Piave, the dark, high acid red of the Piave plain, is the grape the house is most tied to. Its Raboso 15 18 Centenarius was a numbered edition of 600 magnums made for the centenary of the First World War. The range also includes white and red wines, still and sparkling, young and aged.
Today
The tenuta belongs to the Movimento Turismo del Vino and the Confraternita del Raboso Piave. It also hosts Officina Malanotte, a contemporary art project and artist residence in a former mechanical workshop on the estate.
