Friulano DOC 2025
Wine Description
Ronchi di Cialla is a family estate in the Cialla valley, a sub-zone of the Colli Orientali del Friuli, founded in 1970 by Paolo and Dina Rapuzzi and now run by their sons Pierpaolo and Ivan. The Friulano grapes for this 2025 wine are grown on marl and marly limestone soils without the use of pesticides or herbicides, and the estate practices natural farming with indigenous yeasts. Vinification takes place in stainless steel at controlled temperatures, followed by three months of lees aging with weekly battonage to build body and texture. The wine shows pale straw yellow in the glass with bright green reflections, a floral and mineral nose of candied lemon and green pear, and a palate that finishes with the bitter almond note typical of the Friulano variety.
