Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG 30 Anni “Antonio Castagnedi” – MAGNUM
Wine Description
The Selezione Antonio Castagnedi is an Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG produced by Tenuta Sant’Antonio, a winery founded by the four Castagnedi brothers in the Monti Garbi area of Colognola ai Colli, in the eastern hills of the Valpolicella zone. The blend is composed of approximately 70% Corvina and Corvinone, 20% Rondinella, 5% Croatina, and 5% Oseleta, all harvested by double hand selection and dried for around three months through the traditional appassimento process before pressing. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at controlled temperature, and the wine is then aged for 24 months in wooden barrels before bottling. The 2021 vintage is presented in Magnum format, which generally supports a slower and more gradual development in bottle compared to standard 750ml bottles. The wine is dry, with the deep concentration typical of Amarone alongside a balanced structure and approachable tannins.
