Umbria Chardonnay IGT 2025
Wine Description
Arnaldo Caprai’s Umbria Chardonnay IGT 2025 is produced from 100% Chardonnay grown in Umbria, with vines trained to Guyot and planted at a density of 2,400 to 3,600 vines per acre. After harvest, the grapes are pressed and the must ferments in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine then rests for three months in steel, followed by a minimum of three months in bottle before release. The result is a bright straw-yellow wine with green reflections, showing clean fruit character, fresh acidity, and a mineral edge. This wine sits within Caprai’s international varietal line alongside a Sauvignon and a Merlot, all aimed at expressing how international grape varieties perform in the Montefalco area of Umbria.
