Barolo DOCG 2022

Oddero Barolo 2022 is produced by Poderi e Cantine Oddero, a winery based in the Santa Maria fraction of La Morra with roots dating to the late 18th century. The wine is made entirely from Nebbiolo grapes drawn from three top crus in the Barolo zone, all farmed within the approximately 35 hectares of estate vineyards. The 2022 vintage was marked by exceptional drought and heat in the Langhe, resulting in reduced yields and concentrated fruit with naturally high alcohol. Winemaking follows a traditional approach with long maceration and extended aging in large, neutral oak barrels, consistent with the style for which Oddero is known. The wine shows the classic Barolo profile: assertive tannins, good acidity, and aromatic complexity that requires bottle age to fully resolve. It is best cellared for at least five years from vintage before opening, with the potential to develop further over the following decade.
