Wine Description
The Roero Arneis DOCG Riserva Sette Anni is produced by Angelo Negro e Figli, a family estate founded in 1670 and based in Monteu Roero, in the Roero hills of Piedmont, Italy. The wine is made from 100% Arneis grown at 320 metres above sea level on south-facing, calcareous and sandy soils rich in fossil shells, trained using the Guyot system. The name Sette Anni refers to the seven years of aging the wine undergoes before release, which gives it considerable complexity and depth uncommon for an Arneis. The 2017 vintage was awarded the Falstaff Trophy Piemonte Bianco 2025 and received 95 points from Doctor Wine in 2025, reflecting its quality and aging trajectory. The estate farms organically across approximately 70 hectares of vineyards in the Roero DOCG zone. Arneis is a native white grape of the Roero, grown almost exclusively in this area, and is known for its naturally firm acidity and aromatic character.
