About Sara Meneguz

History
Azienda Agricola Meneguz Cesare is a family estate in Tarzo, in the province of Treviso, inside the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG zone. The family says it has grown and vinified grapes from its own vineyards since 1750, and the land that is still the core of the estate passed to the family in 1921.
The land and the vineyards
The vines are on the hills of Tarzo, in the heart of the Prosecco Superiore area.
The wines
Sara is the youngest daughter of Cesare and runs the company today. The range carries family names: a Prosecco Superiore called Sara, dedicated to her father Cesare, and Nono Pin, named for her grandfather Bortolo Valentino Meneguz, known as Pin, a dry Prosecco with apple and pear notes. Nudo is made without added sulfites, and Almanegra is described as the estate's leading wine.
Today
The estate is presented as a small, artisanal family business and takes visitors for a tour and tasting of about an hour and a half.
