Cabernet Sauvignon Veneto IGT 2022
Wine Description
Marion is a small family estate in the Marcellise Valley, east of Verona, with vineyards situated at the foot of the hills at around 100 metres above sea level on limestone-rich soils with a little clay and gravel. The Cabernet Sauvignon is harvested by hand in September and October, with part of the fruit then dried in well-ventilated rooms for approximately 40 days before vinification, adding concentration and complexity. Two separate lots are vinified and then aged individually in 350-litre Slavonian oak barrels for around 30 months before being blended and bottled. The wine shows an intense ruby red colour with violet reflections. The appassimento method gives the wine additional body and depth while preserving the varietal character of Cabernet Sauvignon within the Veneto IGT classification.
