Questions About Shipping Wine to the UK
How much does it cost to ship wine from Italy to the UK?
Shipping costs €30 for 1 to 12 bottles, €84 for 13 to 18, €108 for 19 to 24 and €128 for 30. Wine is purchased separately.
Will I pay duty or VAT at delivery?
Yes. Wine sent from Italy to the UK pays UK excise duty and VAT on arrival, as for any wine from the EU. The courier collects them before delivery; the amount depends on the number of bottles and their alcohol.
How long does delivery take?
10 to 12 working days after dispatch from Venice. Express delivery in 24 to 72 hours costs double the standard rate. We send tracking when your parcel leaves.
How is the wine packed?
Each bottle travels in its own cell of a certified isothermal box, with temperature controlled shipping through Mail Boxes Etc.
What if a bottle breaks?
Send us a photo within 14 days of delivery and we sort it out with you.
Can you ship the wines I tasted in Venice?
Yes. Tell us the names, describe the wines you remember, or share your preferences and budget. We will put together your quote from our wine shop in Venice.
How do I pay?
For a quote, we email the total and payment instructions. Nothing is charged until you approve. For Amarone and Valpolicella, you can also use our eShop, where wine and shipping are paid at checkout.
