About Brunelli
The Brunelli family has been rooted in San Pietro in Cariano, in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica, since the eighteenth century, and has bottled under its own name since 1936. Today Alberto Brunelli runs the cellar alongside his parents Luigi and Luciana, farming calcareous, mineral rich hillsides between Verona and Lake Garda with the traditional double pergola alongside modern espalier training. The house also welcomes guests at its Corte Cariano wine relais, and its Amarone Riserva Campo del Titari 2012 was named best red wine of the year at the 2017 Challenge International du Vin.
Prices are for take away and shipping. The wine bar serves from its own list.

About Brunelli

History
Brunelli is a family winery in San Pietro in Cariano, the main village of Valpolicella, between Verona and Lake Garda. The family name has been tied to the village since the eighteenth century, and the winery presents itself as making Amarone since 1936.
The land and the vineyards
The vineyards are planted mainly with local Valpolicella varieties: Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella and Oseleta, along with some older native grapes that the family has brought back. The vines are trained on the double low pergola and on espalier. Grapes are picked by hand, and the winery says that the quality of wine is made first in the vineyard.
The wines
The range includes Amarone, Amarone Riserva, Ripasso, rosé, white wines and grappa. Grapes for Amarone and Recioto dry in lofts, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, and the wines age in oak casks and barriques in a cellar 25 steps underground.
Today
Alberto runs the estate with his parents, Luciana and Luigi. Guests can book a guided tour and a tasting of five wines, and a wine relais called Corte Cariano offers rooms in an old courtyard of the district.
