Depuis le mill\u00e9sime 2013, le vin est produit \u00e0 partir de 100 % Nebbiolo et porte la d\u00e9signation Barbaresco DOP, ayant auparavant \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tiquet\u00e9 Langhe DOC lorsqu'une petite quantit\u00e9 de Barbera \u00e9tait incluse. La saison 2022 en Pi\u00e9mont a \u00e9t\u00e9 chaude et s\u00e8che, parmi les plus chaudes de la derni\u00e8re d\u00e9cennie, offrant une maturit\u00e9 pr\u00e9coce et un fruit concentr\u00e9 ; les nuits fra\u00eeches dans les collines des Langhe ont pr\u00e9serv\u00e9 une bonne acidit\u00e9 naturelle. Parmi les Barbaresco de Gaja issus de vignobles uniques, le Sor\u00ec San Lorenzo est constamment le plus aust\u00e8re et le plus structur\u00e9, n\u00e9cessitant plus de temps en bouteille pour atteindre sa pleine maturit\u00e9 que les autres crus.
