Er z\u00e4hlt zu den bedeutendsten Einzellagen-Amarones im Masi-Sortiment und steht dem Campolongo di Torbe als f\u00fchrende Cru-Abf\u00fcllung zur Seite. Der Jahrgang 2000 ist bereits zug\u00e4nglich, gewinnt jedoch durch weiteres Lagern und profitiert vor dem Ausschank von ausgedehntem Dekantieren.\n\nMasi verdankt seinen Namen dem Vaio dei Masi, dem kleinen Tal in der Valpolicella Classica, das die Familie Boscaini Ende des achtzehnten Jahrhunderts erwarb, und befindet sich nach sieben Generationen nach wie vor in Familienbesitz. Das Weingut hat seinen Namen mit dem Appassimento gemacht, dem winterlichen Trocknen der Trauben f\u00fcr Amarone und Recioto, das die hauseigene Forschungsgruppe seit Jahrzehnten untersucht und weiterentwickelt hat, sowie mit der Wiederentdeckung alter veronischer Sorten wie der Oseleta.
