Der Wein ist eine Cuv\u00e9e aus etwa 70% Syrah und 30% Vermentino, mit Trauben, die auf tonreichen B\u00f6den mit s\u00fcdlicher Ausrichtung auf etwa 150 Metern \u00fcber dem Meeresspiegel wachsen. Ein kleiner Teil Syrah der vorangegangenen Ernte, als Wei\u00dfwein vinifiziert und rund 20 Monate in Barriques gereift, wird als Vin-de-R\u00e9serve-Komponente hinzugef\u00fcgt. Der Wein reift mindestens 16 Monate in Tonneaux, was ihm Struktur und Komplexit\u00e4t verleiht und gleichzeitig die Frische der Vermentino-Komponente bewahrt. Die Trauben werden bei Morgend\u00e4mmerung von einem rein weiblichen Erntetrupp von Hand gelesen.
