Le Cortesele ist ein Valpolicella Ripasso DOC, der nach der Ripasso-Methode hergestellt wird: Der Basiswein wird dabei auf den Trebern nachgegoren, die bei der Amarone-Produktion anfallen. Dieses Verfahren entzieht den Trebern zus\u00e4tzliche Farbe, Tannine und Aromastoffe, was dem Wein mehr Tiefe und Struktur verleiht als einem normalen Valpolicella. Die verwendeten Trauben sind die traditionellen Valpolicella-Sorten Corvina, Corvinone und Rondinella. Der Wein zeigt die f\u00fcr diesen Stil typischen Eigenschaften: getrocknete Fr\u00fcchte, Gew\u00fcrze und einen runden K\u00f6rper, der von gem\u00e4\u00dfigten Tanninen gest\u00fctzt wird.\n\nDie Familie Benedetti baut seit dem 19. Jahrhundert Reben in La Villa in Negrar an, und das Gut wird heute von den Br\u00fcdern Simone und Matteo gef\u00fchrt, die das Handwerk von ihrem Vater Adriano und zuvor von ihrem Gro\u00dfvater gelernt haben. Das Anwesen tr\u00e4gt eine ungew\u00f6hnliche Schicht Geschichte in sich: 1887 wurde sieben Meter unter den Feldern eine r\u00f6mische Villa aus dem zweiten und dritten Jahrhundert entdeckt, und ihre Mosaikb\u00f6den, die teilweise im Veronese Museum f\u00fcr antike Kunst ausgestellt sind, gaben der Mosaico-Linie der Familie ihren Namen.
