Der Name Morar bezieht sich auf die Maulbeerb\u00e4ume, die einst an den R\u00e4ndern der Weinberge dieser Gegend wuchsen. Der Wein wird aus Corvina-, Corvinone- und Rondinella-Trauben von felsigen Hangb\u00f6den in den Parzellen Rasso, Monte Tenda und Monte Crosetta gewonnen, die von Ende September bis in den Oktober hinein von Hand gelesen werden. Nach der Ernte werden die Trauben mindestens 90 Tage getrocknet, bevor im Januar die Vinifikation beginnt; die Verg\u00e4rung erfolgt in Edelstahltanks, gefolgt von einem Ausbau in Holzf\u00e4ssern. Mit 25 oder mehr Jahren ab dem Jahrgang befindet sich der 1998er auf dem H\u00f6hepunkt seines Reifefensters und zeigt die entwickelte Komplexit\u00e4t, die einem langf\u00e4higen Amarone Classico zu eigen ist.\n\nValentina Cubi und ihr Mann Giancarlo Vason erwarben 1970 zehn Hektar Weinberg in Fumane, in der Valpolicella Classica, und das Gut an der Via Casterna tr\u00e4gt noch heute ihren Namen. Die Reben stehen zwischen 290 und 350 Metern H\u00f6he, nach S\u00fcden und S\u00fcdosten ausgerichtet, bepflanzt vorwiegend mit Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella und Molinara; seit 2014 wird vollst\u00e4ndig biologisch gewirtschaftet, in der \u00dcberzeugung, dass ein gro\u00dfer Wein im Weinberg und nicht im Keller entsteht.
