Der Valpolicella Superiore 2019 wird aus Corvina-, Corvinone- und Rondinella-Trauben gekeltert, die von Hand gelesen und dann 30 Tage lang in einem Appassimento-Verfahren getrocknet werden, um Aromen und Zucker zu konzentrieren. Die G\u00e4rung findet bei kontrollierter Temperatur in Edelstahltanks statt, gefolgt von 12 Monaten Ausbau in 225-Liter-Barriques aus amerikanischer Eiche und weiteren sechs Monaten Flaschenruhe vor der Freigabe. Der Jahrgang 2019 ergibt einen Wein mit dunkler und dichter Farbe, einem vollen, fruchtigen Profil in modernem Stil mit intensiven Gew\u00fcrznoten und weichen, aber strukturierten Tanninen. Mit 15,5% ABV tr\u00e4gt der Wein das typische Gewicht und die W\u00e4rme eines Superiore, der einer Teiltrocknung unterzogen wurde, was ihn gut zu kr\u00e4ftigen Fleischgerichten und gereiftem K\u00e4se passt.\n\nCarlo Ferrag\u00f9 bewirtschaftet rund acht Hektar mit roten Rebsorten im Val d'Illasi \u00f6stlich von Verona auf etwa 240 Metern H\u00f6he, dazu einen weiteren Hektar mit Olivenb\u00e4umen. Er f\u00fchrt das Gut mit seinen Br\u00fcdern Ornello und Angelo von einem Keller aus, der ein altes romanisches Steinbauernhaus mit moderner Ausr\u00fcstung verbindet; die Reben hinter dem Amarone sind im Durchschnitt rund 55 Jahre alt. Die Produktion ist klein und auf kr\u00e4ftige Rotweine ausgerichtet: einen Valpolicella Superiore, den GutsaMarone und einen Amarone Riserva von einem einzigen Hektar in Cellore
