Erstmals 1977 produziert, geh\u00f6rte er zu den fr\u00fchesten reinsortige Sangiovese-Weinen im Chianti Classico-Gebiet; das Gut verlie\u00df das Chianti Classico-Konsortium, anstatt wei\u00dfe Trauben hinzuzuf\u00fcgen, weshalb der Wein seither die Bezeichnung Toscana IGT tr\u00e4gt. Die Verg\u00e4rung findet in Betonbeh\u00e4ltern mit einheimischen Hefen \u00fcber etwa 25 Tage statt, gefolgt von der malolaktischen G\u00e4rung ebenfalls in Beton. Die Reifung dauert 12 Monate in Allier-Barriques und weitere 12 Monate in gr\u00f6\u00dferen F\u00e4ssern aus slawonischer Eiche, bevor der Wein ungefiltert abgef\u00fcllt wird. Der Jahrgang 2017 war warm in Radda und brachte einen Wein mit bemerkenswerter Konzentration und Fruchttiefe, der gleichzeitig die Frische und mineralische Spannung dieser H\u00f6henlagen bewahrt.\n\nMontevertine ist ein kleines Gut in Radda in Chianti, im Herzen der Chianti Classico-Zone der Toskana. Es wurde 1967 von Sergio Manetti gegr\u00fcndet und ist daf\u00fcr bekannt, Sangiovese-Weine au\u00dferhalb der Chianti Classico DOCG-Denomination zu produzieren, allen voran Le Pergole Torte, einer der ersten 100%-Sangiovese-Weine der Region.
